Nopeify (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a Chrome extension that helps freelancers hide Upwork job listings from selected countries. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use Nopeify.
1. Data Nopeify uses
Free plan (no account): Your selected filtered countries and the pause/active setting are stored in your browser (Chrome extension storage). We do not create an account and we do not collect your Upwork browsing content.
How filtering works: The extension reads the country/location label shown on Upwork job cards and hides cards locally in your browser when they match your selected countries.
Pro plan: If you purchase Pro, we may receive your email from Lemon Squeezy. We use it to associate your subscription and to manage device access. We store your Pro status and your Pro access device mapping on our servers so that Pro works on one device at a time.
2. What we collect (and what we don’t)
We do not collect full Upwork job contents, applications, messages, or anything else from your browsing beyond the country/location label needed to apply your filter.
We may store:
- Selected filtered countries and pause/active setting (local browser storage, and on Pro where applicable).
- Email (Pro-only, used to manage subscription and restore access).
- A device/browser identifier used to activate Pro on your current device.
3. Pro restore codes
If you restore Pro access, we generate short-lived, one-time restore codes tied to your email. Codes are validated and consumed on the server. If successful, we update your active device mapping so the previous device no longer has Pro.
4. Analytics
We may use PostHog to measure extension usage with privacy-conscious, minimal events (for example: popup opened, countries added/removed, and jobs filtered). We use an anonymous device identifier and avoid collecting sensitive personal data.
5. Data security
We use standard security practices to protect stored Pro subscription and restore-code data. Your free-plan country list remains stored in your browser unless you choose to use Pro features.
6. Your choices
You can remove your filtered countries and reset the extension settings at any time. You can also remove the extension from Chrome, which stops it from applying filters.
